Press Release: Ohio Conservative Review Opens Platform to Incumbent Policymakers

Ohio Conservative Review Opens Platform to Incumbent Policymakers

Wednesday, August 7, 2013

Yesterday, Ohio Conservative Review published an article by State Representative Andy Thompson (R-Marietta), officially marking the political news site’s extension of its forum to elected and appointed officials across Ohio.

“We’re excited to widen our platform and expand OCR’s reach by having elected conservative leaders join the discussion,” said Justin Powell, Communications Director for OCR. “We are pleased that Ohio’s policymakers and thought leaders recognize Ohio Conservative Review as a venue for the most important conversations shaping the Buckeye State’s political climate. We look forward to and appreciate hearing from a variety of conservative voices from around Ohio.”

Immediately following its release, Rep. Thompson’s article, “Why I Proposed H.B. 237 to Repeal Common Core in Ohio,” generated tremendous discussion and enthusiasm. Currently over 130 individuals and organizations have shared the OCR article on Facebook alone–the first 100 within 12 hours of publication.  The response suggests that Rep. Thompson’s bill and rationale have struck a chord with many concerned Ohioans.

OCR encourages all to read and share Rep. Thompson’s piece and to stay tuned to as it leads conservatives in the discussion of breaking political news and analysis.
